The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), founded in 1911, is an international non-governmental non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants. In partnership with its affiliates, USCRI provides legal, social, and health services to refugees, unaccompanied migrant children, human trafficking survivors, and other immigrants across all 50 U.S. states, El Salvador, Honduras, Kenya, and Mexico. USCRI advocates for the rights of refugees and immigrants both nationally and globally, helping to drive policies, practices, and legislation.
USCRI Mexico was established in 2021. In 2024, additional programs were added to support the creation of complementary educational pathways for refugees in Mexico. This objective is pursued alongside the simultaneous creation of safe, inclusive, and intercultural welcoming communities, as well as advocacy for the rights of migrants and asylum seekers.
