Job Description

Eagle Harbor Solutions, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Monitoring Engineer with a Top Secret security clearance to support EHS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Provide recommendations to optimize and improve management of vSphere Infrastructure.
• Plans and executes upgrades, installations, monitoring and management tools, security practices and overall corporate support architecture.
• Ensures the successful installation, integration, and deployment of virtualized environment solutions across enterprise-level production and non-production environments.
• Research, develop and implement solutions to enhance current systems, including converged and cloud architectures.
• Provide architecture and engineering support for the Client's performance and availability monitoring products.
• Provide instrumentation for proactive diagnostic insight into health of operational environments.
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation to assist with operation, maintenance, and development of the monitoring solution set.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• 2-5 years’ experience providing Tier III level technical engineering support in a large-scale virtualized VMWare 6.0/6.5 infrastructure environment.
• Experience and knowledge supporting VMware Virtual Machines, ESXi servers, and VMware virtual center, setting up VMotion and engineering solutions with related VMware products such as vROps, vRLi, and other products used for supporting a virtualized Microsoft Server environment.
• Experience with Splunk or PowerBI in an Azure environment preferred.
• Service maintenance employing ITIL principles.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related-field or equivalent experience.
Clearance Requirement:
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance required
• Will consider well-qualified candidates with an Active DoD Secret
