Job Description

Offer support to residents by being respectful and providing active listening to meet the client’s needs. Notify assigned social worker of critical information about the client. Provide information and direction to residents while simultaneously holding them accountable to the rules and regulations of the shelter.

Rate of pay is $16.00/hr - This is a 3rd shift position

Responsibilities

Completes intakes, assists with discharges, completes paperwork as needed. Works closely with adult residents. Provides orientation to the program. Reviews program rules, policies and procedures with clients. Reports rule violations, injuries, and incidents to assigned worker and management – both verbally and in writing via the special report (must be completed by the end of their scheduled shift)

Qualifications

  • Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance.
  • Good assessment and strong judgment skills.
  • Good communication skills including good grammar, spelling and legible handwriting
  • High School diploma or GED
