This job is responsible for and maintains high quality standards of unit operations by communicating patient information. Monitors a patient’s heart rates and rhythms and is responsible for communicating any ECG changes in a calm and clear manner to the appropriate department. Must be able to perform detailed reading of arrhythmias, maintain telemetry equipment, and have a comprehensive knowledge of the Telemetry Monitoring system. Will possess knowledge of hospital systems, procedures, department locations, treatment areas and patient services.
Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - None.
Certifications
Required -Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Preferred- State Certification for ECG, ECG certificate program or equivalent
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
