General Summary
Under general supervision,will monitortelemetry set up on patients.
Essential Responsibilities

Responsible formonitoringthe patient once nursing staff have attached patient to the telemetry unit
Check foraccuratedate/time printout on rhythm strips
Provide daily printings of each patient’s rhythm strip
Maintainappropriate alarmsettings for each patient
Assistin troubleshooting monitor equipment
Alert staff when a patient is in crisis
PerformECG’sas needed
Maintain supplies formonitorarea

Education Requirements
HS Diploma or GEDrequired
Experience Requirements
Noexperiencerequired
License/Certification/Registration Requirements
Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Associationrequiredupon hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretations and performing ECG tracings is helpful.
Good computer skills.
Good interpersonal skills that allow for developing effective working relationships with staff.
