The Monitor Tech/Ward Clerk on the Multi-Specialty Unit is accountable for processing paper work, maintaining records and supplies, and observation of telemetry monitored patients. Knowledgeable and efficient in use of Order Communication System (O.C.), Patient Classification, Scheduling and Staffing system (PCSS) and Electronic Patient File (EPF). Maintains responsibility for accurate transcription of physicians’ orders, processing paper work, maintaining records and supplies, and handling communications in order to provide a more effective and organized patient care area. Displays superior customer service skills with all customers: Physicians, hospital staff, patients and families. Performs other duties as required.
Education
Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Experience: 0 – 3 MONTHS
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Healthcare Provider BLS. Must possess certificate of completion of EKG Arrhythmia course, must pass EKG/Arrhythmia Exam prior to hire and annually thereafter.
