Job Description

This position will report to the Framingham Community Justice Support Center located Framingham, MA. which is a community-based facility serving adult clients on probation and parole with a history of criminal behavior and addiction.

The Monitor is responsible and accountable for monitoring clients and for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and clients. She will ensure that clients enter and exit the Center in an appropriate manner and remain in assigned areas. She will be responsible for monitoring and collecting urine drug screens from gender specific clients.

Job Function:

  • Supervise and monitor clients in all phases of daily routines including break periods.
  • Monitor all educational and clinical classes/groups
  • Take accurate attendance of all clients.
  • Maintain accurate communication log entries.
  • Collection and documentation of urine screens
  • Provide client transportation to/from the Center in program vehicle when necessary
  • Write incident reports as needed and communicate concerns to program management
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and trainings as directed.
  • Prevent crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling clients.
  • Provide support and assistance in any crisis situation.
  • Maintain work schedule as directed.

Qualifications

Required Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university; or high school diploma and minimum of four (4) years of experience in social service, security, or related field. Demonstrated ability to exercise courtesy, respect, and professionalism in interpersonal communication with public and clients.

Preferred: Understanding of de-escalation techniques.
