The Monitor in a low demand shelter is responsible for the overall functioning of the shelter, including maintaining a peaceful, safe, supportive, and orderly environment. The position serves single adults who are homeless and includes basic orientation (services, rules, & policies), assistance with basic immediate needs, de-escalating conflict, and being a stable, welcoming presence.

Our ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent; some experience working with the homeless, chemically dependent, or mentally disabled individuals; and effective communication and crisis intervention skills.
