Job Description

Join our Drug Plastics Boyertown team as a 1st Shift Molding Supervisor! Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Molding Supervisor supervises the Process Mechanic functions of the plant in order to achieve identified objectives while minimizing waste & unnecessary expenses and achieving high levels of employee involvement/morale. This is a Monday thru Friday salaried, 1st shift position which includes a variety of employee perks!

Required Qualifications

  • A college degree in a field related to mechanics is preferred
  • Prior experience working in Manufacturing
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred

Some Responsibilities Include:

  1. Attend all shift change meetings in a timely manner.
  2. Review and approve the hours worked by Process and Setup Mechanics on the shift on a daily basis.
  3. Complete required production reports.
  4. Understand and be able to effectively use Material Safety Data Sheets.
  5. Supervise all Process and Setup Mechanic employees to ensure that all quality and production standards are maintained.
  6. Promote positive employee relations by motivating, training, evaluating and communicating with employees.
  7. Ensure that production areas are free from hazards and employees are working safely.
  8. Attend priority meetings prior to and after the shift change to discuss schedule changes, “down” equipment, quality issues and other miscellaneous items.
  9. Communicate with employees regarding job assignments, specific problems encountered on prior shift(s), quality and safety issues and general business events.
  10. Meet with Material Handlers when Material Supervisor is unavailable to review material and mix rations and address issues of concern.
