Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education. Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for a Molding Operator for the Injection Molding Department to produce superior products following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. Molding/Assembly processes and procedures. Previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred; previous machine operation, especially injection molding experience, is a plus. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. This position will be for working a 10 hour/day, 4 day/week rotating crew schedule. Shift hours: 3:30am to 2pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives work order and verifies that the components are correct.
  • Verifies work before proceeding with operations.
  • Ability to identify different molding defects and notify the technician or process tech when they occur.
  • Ability to consistently meet set standards for cycle times on molding machines.
  • Completes all documentation correctly and consistently, maintaining minimal errors in production paperwork and in SAP reporting system.
  • Verify inspection tools issued to job are available and correct.
  • Verify that inspection process are kept at AQLS C=0 @2.5.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet or exceed productivity and consistently produce good quality products.
  • Inspects parts to specifications/print, utilizing micrometers, calipers, fixed gauges and optical gauges.
  • Follow all safety guidelines of the molding area including utilization of PPE.
  • Keep workstation and shop floor neat, clean and organized at all times.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Proficient with basic measuring equipment and instruments, good mechanical aptitude, proficient with QAD job tracking and Demonstrates housekeeping etiquette.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Understands the basic operations of running an injection molding machine. Understands the safety and use of the molding room tools as in cutters, exacta knifes, swivel blades etc.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Physical Demands:

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
