As Operator 1, Safety is our top priority, regardless of the specific tasks you perform, ensuring you feel secure and protected in your work environment at Biomerics. As Operator 1, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, undertaking various technical applications to assemble products under rigorous process compliance. This includes completing necessary documentation and records following Good Documentation Practices at Biomerics. This direct production role demands you to engage in activities where agility and dexterity are essential for the team's success.

Requirements

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
  • Perform bonding, potting, soldering, manual assembly, and visual inspection of medical products. Can provide IPC certification training internally.
  • Produce and inspect products at an acceptable quality level within QMS.
  • Maintain an orderly and safe working environment.
  • Perform all duties under established procedures.
  • Escalate problems with quality processes, equipment or materials to the lead or supervisor.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and traceability of forms used during manufacturing.
  • Operate specific equipment as assigned by the Department Supervisor.
  • Maintain acceptable efficiency levels.
  • Communicate material shortages to line lead before line stoppages.
  • Establish good working relationships with all levels of operations.
  • Works as a team to ensure that daily and weekly production goals/schedules are met.
  • Able to cross-train co-workers when required.
  • Other assignments as assigned by Department Supervisor or designee.

Job Qualifications:?

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to understand and interpret instructions and documentation.
  • Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have great dexterity, steady hands, and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Overtime may be required depending on company needs.
