Harco Fittings LLC, founded in 1966 in Lynchburg, Virginia is a producer of gasketed joint injection- molded PVC and push-on gasketed joint ductile fittings. Our Harco locations span across seven states in the US. Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and growing team?

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Mold Technician.

Responsibilities are within Manufacturing Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines. May plan, direct and/or control some manufacturing activities within the company. Duties might involve coordinating operating activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost objectives. Additional duties involve the estimation of manufacturing capacity, production and materials control and site facilities, maintenance and other manufacturing support activities. May set up equipment operation feed, speed and temperature. Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assemblies from raw materials. Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing. Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations. Has skills developed through formal training or work experience. Works within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify methods and approach. Completes assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision. Performs the full range of established procedures and will typically be considered skilled through work experience. Resolves routine issues with senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Tools & Equipment

• Large and small grinders
• Compressed air tools
• Overhead crane experience preferred
• Inspection tools and gauges, check pipes, micrometers
• Utility knife, tape applicator, basic hand tools

Work Environment

• Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting to a maximum of 150 lbs.
• Working on raised surfaces (ladders, machines, work platforms)
• Regular work in a fluctuating temperature environment (indoor & outdoor).
• Exposure to grease, dirt, and some industrial chemicals.
• The use of standard personal protective equipment is used and includes some of the following: safety glasses and splash shield, gloves and apron, safety shoes, harness, Hi-Vis clothing.
