Mold Setting Technician (Injection Plastic)

Our world-class client is expanding operations in El Paso, Texas, and is in need of various Mold Setting Technicians.
They are granting a work permit in the USA.

General Responsibilities:

The Mold Setting Technician is responsible for mold changes, set-up & process troubleshooting on injection molding machines, auxiliary, and processing equipment. Provides hands-on technical ability. Strong troubleshooting skills are required. Minimize equipment downtime.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
• Passport-Laser Visa (required) -The company grants a work permit in the USA.
• 5 years experience as Mold setting technician in plastic injection with cold and hot runner
• systems
• Forklift experience
• Extensive experience with resin processing, PVC, glass-filled nylon, glass-filled polypropylene, ABS, polyethylene, and acetyl
• Team Player
• Focused and goal-oriented.
• Bilingual: English- Spanish

Special requirements:

• Willing to work in 3rd. shift (full-time position)
• Due to the business nature, the person needs to work flexible schedules.
• The person will work the first 2 months on the 1st shift and, after completing the training will work the 3rd shift.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Mold set-up and injection molding tooling functions.
• Mechanical, electricity, safety switches, sensors, Volt Meters, Thermarators, heater controllers, robotics, hand tools, and pneumatic tools techniques.
• Machines from 20 to 1900 tons

Responsibilities:

• Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on molds and related peripherals.
• Must be able to safely install and remove molds from the injecting molding machine according to the working procedures and 5s checklist.
• Prepare and submit the Daily Log sheet, MRR (Mold repair request), and PM (Preventive maintenance request) as required in a clear and concise manner.
• Assist in performing all tasks related to the 5S Checklist, utilizing the application production peripherals.
• Working knowledge of injection, molding functions (hot runner systems, unwinding mechanisms, functions, core pulls, and unwinds, cooling, etc.)
• Familiar with Toshiba and Toyo machines and controls.
