The Modular Assembler is accountable for assembling mechanical and electrical subassemblies for installation on machine tools manufactured by Mazak.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
• Complete mechanical subassemblies of hydraulic units, manifolds, and chiller units.
• Complete mechanical subassemblies of sheet metal to be installed on machine tools.
• Complete electrical subassemblies on control cabinets, pumps, and control monitors.
• Inspect sheet metal parts for errors.
• Operate cranes to lift and install heavy items.
• Use walk behind forklifts to transport parts.
• Use of variety of hand tools, including drills, grinders, and air-powered tools, when completing subassemblies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Education/Certification:
• High school diploma.
• Previous machine tool experience.
Skills:
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Use of hand tools.
• Use of power tools.
• Completed and secured internal certification in proper walk behind fork lift operation.
