About the position

This is a full-time position under AvePoint as your employer. The role will be client‑facing, working directly with one of AvePoint’s clients.

We are seeking a Modern Work Engineer to join our client's Delivery team and design, implement, and optimize collaboration, communication, and meeting solutions across Microsoft 365. This includes Microsoft Teams, Teams Voice, and Teams Rooms, ensuring seamless communication experiences across digital and physical workspaces.

You will implement Microsoft 365 workloads including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and related services, while collaborating with project managers, strategists, and clients to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

This role directly contributes to our client's Microsoft Solutions Partner designation in Modern Work, supporting skilling, customer success, and performance metrics aligned to Microsoft partner requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration, Communication & Meetings

  • Implement Microsoft Teams for chat, collaboration, and meetings.
  • Design and configure Teams Phone (Voice) solutions including:
  • Auto attendants and call queues
  • Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Calling Plans
  • PSTN connectivity and call flow design
  • Implement and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) environments:
  • Room accounts, policies, and device provisioning
  • Integration with conferencing hardware and meeting spaces
  • Optimize meeting and collaboration experiences across Teams.
  • Align solutions to Microsoft best practices and reference architectures.

Adoption & User Enablement

  • Drive adoption of Teams as a central hub for collaboration and communication.
  • Support end-user enablement for collaboration, calling, and meeting experiences.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and onboarding for users and administrators.
  • Ensure successful change management and adoption strategies.

Copilot & AI Enablement

  • Support Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness across Teams and collaboration workloads.
  • Enable AI-driven meeting insights, summaries, and workflow automation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and productivity improvements.
  • Align solutions to Microsoft Copilot and AI solution plays.

Delivery & Implementation

  • Execute deployments across Microsoft 365, Teams, Teams Voice, and Teams Rooms.
  • Support tenant-to-tenant migrations and collaboration transformations.
  • Participate in planning, configuration, migration, and validation activities.
  • Deliver solutions aligned to Microsoft solution plays:
  • Collaboration transformation
  • Voice modernization (PBX replacement)
  • Meeting room modernization.

Governance & Best Practices

  • Implement governance frameworks across Teams, SharePoint, and collaboration workloads.
  • Configure policies for Teams lifecycle, voice compliance, and meeting governance.
  • Support data lifecycle, sharing controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to reusable governance templates and standards.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with clients to understand collaboration, communication, and meeting needs.
  • Participate in workshops, demos, and solution walkthroughs.
  • Provide guidance on best practices and governance strategies.
  • Support adoption and optimization of Microsoft 365 and Teams solutions.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Strategists to align delivery outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and automation.
  • Stay current on Microsoft 365, Teams Voice, Teams Rooms, and Copilot capabilities.
  • Contribute to internal IP supporting repeatable Modern Work delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 workloads.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online.
  • Basic understanding of Teams Voice or telephony concepts.
  • Experience with collaboration, file sharing, and user enablement.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications (MS-102, MS-700, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Teams Phone (Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Calling Plans).
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms deployments and device management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and compliance tools.
  • Understanding of networking concepts for voice/video (latency, QoS).
  • Experience in an MSP, consulting, or Microsoft Partner environment.
