Desired skills and expertise
Current student in an accredited bachelor’s program or master’s degree program in architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.
Some experience and proficiency in model shop fabrication techniques and tools, including table saw, laser cutter, bandsaw, and 3d printing.
Proficiency is preferred in 3d modeling software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit.
Ability to work under the guidance of the senior model shop manager as well as various project teams throughout the office to execute high-quality architectural models.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
Shop Maintenance: General cleaning + systematic organization, sorting supplies, managing inventory, and removing outdated materials, assisting with maneuvering and fabrication of oversized and heavy items.
Model Building Assistance with technical tasks, including sanding, assembly and file work.
Furniture Construction: Fulfilling pending furniture requests from the office.
This positions requires a minimum of 15 hours per week on-site in our office.
The hourly rate for this position is $24-$26.
