Job Description

The objective of the Mobility Area Manager role is to manage the success and operations of the Managed Fleet business for San Francisco. The role of the Area Manager will be to manage end to end phases of the program. This includes managing day to day operations, responsibility for hitting key metrics of drivers, end-to-end ownership of the employee lifecycle from hiring, training, coaching and discipline, and supporting the launch of additional locations within the market. The success of the Managed Fleet program is contingent on effectively attracting, managing, and retaining a part-time workforce.

A Day in the Life:

The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of their locations in San Francisco. This includes launching new sites as it becomes necessary.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee daily Mobility Solutions operations, ensuring each location meets key performance metrics for efficiency, compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manages all operational aspects of the market, ensuring the location and employees are maintaining vehicles, location is prepared for each day’s business and properly staffed for all shifts.
  • Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) of their market such as vehicle utilization, driver efficiency, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction. Ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local laws, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Continuously evaluates staff performance and identifies development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to Mobility Solutions safety standards and local regulations using telematics, cameras, and safety scorecards.
  • Complete performance reviews with all Location Managers, discussing strengths and development opportunities
  • Hold weekly meetings with Location Managers to keep employees motivated and informed about business operations
  • Conduct Monthly Business Reviews with Location Managers to ensure KPI knowledge
  • Maintain an environment of positive employee relations
  • Ensure that all corporate policies and procedures are administered and followed appropriately by all personnel.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred   
  • Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a customer-focused environment preferred 
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
  • Ability to influence and motivate leadership and drivers to hit key targets. This includes driving behavior, KPIs related to on app time and employee retention.
  • Strong customer service orientation with ability to interact effectively at multiple levels in support of customer relationships 
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Some knowledge of employment and labor laws 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong relationship building skills

What You’ll Get:

  • The salary for this role is $90,000 annually + bonus
  • Bonus: Eligible, up to 25%
  • Reimbursement for Travel Expenses (as applicable, per Company policy guidelines)
  • Paid Time Off / Vacation / Paid observed Holidays (Accruals start at 1.25 Days a Month, 4 Floating Holidays, 9 Paid Observed Holidays)
