Job Description

The Mobile/Rover Building Engineer is responsible for providing maintenance, repair, and operational support across multiple facilities within an assigned territory. This role travels between sites to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, respond to service requests, and ensure facilities are operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance and can work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Travel between assigned properties to perform building maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and building system issues.
  • Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Monitor and maintain building automation systems and controls when applicable.
  • Complete basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all facilities comply with safety requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors performing specialized repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.
  • Support emergency response efforts and after-hours service needs as required.
  • Identify opportunities for facility improvements and energy savings.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
  • Follow all OSHA, company, and client safety policies and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of commercial building maintenance or facility engineering experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment and facility-related issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Proficient with mobile devices, CMMS systems, and work order management software.
  • Ability to travel daily between multiple locations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
