The Mobile Services Foreman leads day-to-day mobile operations with accountability for sales generation, dispatch coordination, technician oversight, and end-to-end repair order management. The role maintains real-time visibility of pending and completed work, provides regular status updates to local Service teams, and serves as the primary point of contact for mobile service inquiries. In addition to managing daily technician workloads, opening, assigning, and closing repair orders, the Foreman drives growth through outbound calls and planned weekly customer visits. The position also supports team development through interviewing and staffing, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing coaching of Mobile Service Technicians. All duties are performed in alignment with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service Operations & Workflow Management
    • Manage end-to-end mobile repair orders; open, review, and post; accurately document customer requests and clear concern statements; ensure data integrity across Decisiv and Procede
    • Dispatch Mobile Service Technicians via Decisiv, phone, and email; coordinate schedules and provide regular status recaps to Service Managers/Foreman
    • Monitor repair progress and closeout, update PACCAR/TICO Edge/TCS cases, verify timeliness and quality, and follow up on completed repairs
  • Customer Service, Sales & Authorization
    • Conduct outbound calls and weekly customer visits to promote mobile services; advise and sell additional repairs and preventative maintenance when appropriate
    • Prepare estimates/repair orders with accurate time, labor, and parts; identify potential warranty eligibility and secure written customer authorization
    • Explain work performed and charges; ensure POs/payment are arranged and collected prior to vehicle release in accordance with company policy
  • Team Leadership & Talent Development
    • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, staffing, and retention of Mobile Service Technicians
    • Provide daily direction, scheduling/dispatch oversight, and ongoing coaching; respond to Mobile Service Department calls as needed
    • Deliver performance feedback and support annual review processes while upholding safety, quality, and service standards
  • Administrative, Compliance, & Asset Management
    • Research federal recalls and safety checks; file warranty claims/policy requests; maintain compliant records and documentation
    • Audit the condition and readiness of mobile service units; ensure tools/vehicles meet safety and quality requirements
    • Submit required reports/paperwork to the Director of Service; attend scheduled service meetings; perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • One year of related experience in commercial heavy-duty truck repairs preferred. Must possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Prior customer service training, highly desired

Skills Required

  • Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write clear, routine correspondence and reports
  • Communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and when presenting to customers or employees
  • Perform arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret basic charts/graphs (e.g., bar graphs)
  • Calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry
  • Apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, and diagram-based instructions
  • Resolve problems in standardized situations, including those with several concrete variables

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Valid driver's license with insurability under company standards

Travel

  • Weekly travel within market or withing MPG Area of Responsibility. Occasional overnight travel may be required
