We have over 400 employees and several operating divisions including Facilities Management, Rail Maintenance, Civil Projects, Civil Maintenance, Commercial and Domestic Building Construction and Maintenance, Industrial Services and Landscape Construction.

We are seeking full-time Mobile Plant Operators to join our civil project teams on the Rio Tinto Pilbara rail network. You’ll operate various mobile plant machinery to support high-quality project outcomes while maintaining a strong safety-first mindset.

We’re hiring for both:

Residential Karratha-based roles (5-on/2-off, 4-on/3-off roster across a 9-day fortnight.)

FIFO roles from Perth (roster: 14 days on, 7 days off or 8 days on, 6 days off ro)

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience operating mobile plant equipment in civil and/or rail environments

Preferred:

  1. RTIO Inducted (including M1 Rail Supervised Worker Card)
  2. Excavator, Skid Steer, Watercart, Tipper or Dogman tickets and experience

Must Have:

  • HR-class or HC-class Australian driver’s licence
  • Nationally recognised plant tickets for one or more machines listed above
  • Construction White Card
  • Ability to pass a Category 3 Rail Medical
  • Solid knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and task ownership
  • Enthusiastic and reliable attitude
