We are hiring a Mobile Medication Transport Specialist to join our Shoreline Team. As a Mobile Medication Unit (MMU) Driver, you'll play a critical role in delivering essential services to our local communities. You'll ensure the safe and efficient transport of MMU staff to designated locations, assist with vehicle operations, and provide excellent customer service to patients and community members. The schedule for this position is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The hours are 5: 00 am to 1:30 pm, and the pay is $25.00 - $30.00 an hour.

Requirements

  • Safe and Timely Transportation: Safely drive the Mobile Medication Unit to scheduled service areas, ensuring the safety of all passengers and timely arrival at each location. Be responsible for the vehicle's readiness before and after transport.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Inspections: Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checks of tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment. Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., refuel, monitor security systems, empty waste tanks) to ensure the MMU is always in optimal working condition.
  • Support MMU Operations: Assist the MMU staff with operational tasks on the vehicle, including setup, breakdown, and ensuring the vehicle’s various systems are functional (e.g., medical equipment, security systems).
  • Patient & Community Engagement: Be available to answer inquiries from patients, family members, and community members in a friendly, professional manner. Provide accurate information about services and resources, while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Safety & Security Protocols: Uphold safety protocols around the MMU, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of all patients. Respond to incidents as necessary, including de-escalating tense situations and following established procedures for crowd control and safety.
  • Reporting & Incident Management: Monitor and report any vehicle malfunctions, technical issues, or safety concerns. Ensure the smooth operation of vehicle-related systems, including security cameras, panic buttons, and communication devices.
  • Compliance & Professionalism: Follow all THS policies and procedures, including those related to safety, confidentiality, and conduct. Complete all required paperwork and incident reports promptly. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, public health guidelines, and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the mobile unit operations and THS’s mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, particularly in urban areas with heavy traffic. Experience with driving larger vehicles (e.g. vans, RVs) is preferred.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record and no history of major traffic violations within the last three years.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, staff, and community members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to assist in vehicle-related technical tasks.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to professionalism and patient confidentiality.
