Position
SIH Community Benefits works to “improve the health and well-being of all the people in the communities we serve.” One of these strategies as outlined in the SIH Community Health Needs Assessment is to utilize a mobile kitchen to provide nutrition education throughout southern Illinois This position will work with SIH Community Benefits, University of Illinois Extension and other community partners to provide this outreach/education. Travel within the SIH counties of Jackson, Franklin, Williamson, Perry, Saline, Union and Johnson will be of primary focus with occasional trips to other counties across the lower 16 counties of Illinois. This position will be as needed, expecting it to average approximately 28 hours per month.
