Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Armed Licensed Security Officer to join our team for second and third shifts, offering weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. This role is vital in maintaining a safe and secure environment across various facilities, ensuring the safety of personnel, property, and assets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to security protocols, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches
• Manage access control systems to verify authorized personnel and visitors
• Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting security events or concerns
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including medical incidents or security threats
• Enforce security policies in compliance with organizational regulations and legal standards
• Assist with emergency response procedures such as fire drills, evacuations, or medical emergencies
• Maintain physical security measures through manual handling and proper use of security tools
• Engage with visitors and staff professionally to promote a safe environment
• Support law enforcement or emergency services during incidents when necessary

Skills

• Must have valid armed security license and be able to work in government building
• Customer Service and De-Escalation training a must
• Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity
• Familiarity with access control systems and security technology platforms
• Strong customer service skills coupled with conflict de-escalation and conflict management abilities
• Excellent observational skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of Metal detectors is a plus
• Knowledge of access control is a plus

Job Shifts:

• Shifts 7a to 3p M-F and 10a to 6p M-F and 24 Hour Sat-Sun
