
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time MLT or MLS for our HIMG Lab. The MLT/MLS, under the supervision of the Administrative Director, Laboratory Services, Section Supervisor or authorized designee, and pursuant to Federal Regulations, clinical oversight by the Medical
Director or appointed Pathologist, performs laboratory tests in one or more of the fields ofhematology, urinalysis, coagulation, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, and immunohematology in order to obtain data for use by the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs and monitors daily quality control and instrument maintenance. Observes laboratory safety regulations.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
2. Has successfully completed certification exam from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) (preferred) or equivalent licensing board.
3. Completion of certification is required within one year of employment, if not previously obtained.
EXPERIENCE:
None, if certified by the ASCP Board of Registry or eligible for certification, or recognized by the WVDHHR as technician or technologist.

High degree of integrity; ability work in harmony with others; thorough knowledge of medical technology; highly developed sense of responsibility and awareness of importance of work; acceptance of the demands on time and willingness to sacrifice in the interest of the profession;
tact and understanding in dealing with patients; ability to willingly accept direction and supervision from supervisors. Must be a self-motivator, organized and able to multi-task and work as an effective team member.
