Apple is seeking an MLB Product Engineer with excellent electrical engineering design and debugging skills to work with Product Design, Test, Product Quality, Supplier Quality, Contract Manufacturers, and field organizations to deliver high-quality, well-designed systems.
A successful MLB Product Engineer is an EE who is technical, driven, organized, and detail-oriented, is adept at driving actions and resolving conflicts, and communicates with ease at all levels.
Outstanding program management skills are highly desired.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with design and schematic tools.
Experience in consumer electronics industry.
Familiarity with board and system electronic test strategies: in-circuit testing, board functional tests, and industry-standard test methodologies.
Demonstrated excellence in organization, execution, and program management in complex cross-functional projects.
Excellent skills in failure analysis of systems, circuits, and their components.
Drive technical root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve system quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Precise technical communication, including a deep level of engineering analysis and details.
Demonstrated initiative with a high level of energy, and methodical and efficient problem-solving skills, including engineering DOEs.
Familiarity with system manufacturing, SMT, and transitioning new products into manufacturing.
Experience using a variety of data mining and data analysis methods, and utilizing various data tools to derive meaningful results and drive key decisions to solve problems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of experience in electrical design (ideally both digital and analog, such as system design, component I/O, power delivery, power electronics, etc.), with a track record of electrical design improvements, electrical testing, debugging, and the integration of electronics into systems.
