ABOUT THE POSITION
The Kreditz AI team is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer Lead to own the technical delivery and orchestration of our ML flows. This is a leadership role focused on designing scalable ML infrastructure, productionizing models, and monitoring them post-production.
You’ll work closely with our Data Scientists and AI Engineers, who own modeling methodology and domain insights. Your job is to turn great data science into great software: robust, scalable, reproducible and maintainable ML flows. This role combines hands-on ML engineering with strategic planning, technical leadership, and design of ML architecture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Machine Learning Engineer Lead you will:
Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines on AWS to ensure automation across all stages of the AI / ML models lifecycle.
Define and own technical architecture for model development, deployment and monitoring, including retraining workflows.
Collaborate closely with the Kreditz AI Data Scientists to ensure handoff from modeling to deployment is smooth and robust. Design and maintain ML infrastructure using AWS SageMaker, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.
Drive code quality, reproducibility, and automation across all stages of the models lifecycle.
Instill best MLOPs practices to the Kreditz AI team and streamline the current processes and frameworks.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in ML development, ideally with at least 1-2 years in a lead role.
Experience in building, deploying, and maintaining ML models in production environments.
Proven experience with Python, including common ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
Strong knowledge of AWS services, especially SageMaker, S3, Lambda, and Step Functions.
Experience planning, assigning, and following up work using Linear (or similar tools like Jira), with a structured approach to sprint planning and progress tracking.
Experience managing backlogs, sprint planning, and resource allocation for technical teams.
Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerized environments (e.g., Docker).
Strong communication skills and ability to align cross-functional teams.
MERITORIOUS SKILLS
Experience in Open Banking/PSD2.
Experience from working with credit information within Financial Services
