Job Description

Mitsubishi Electric Specialist

Founded in 1945, Northeastern Supply, Inc. began as a group of converted row houses in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Today, the company employs over 300 people and operates in more than 40 locations across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. Northeastern Supply is recognized as one of the fastest-growing businesses in the plumbing, HVAC, and water systems sectors in the Mid-Atlantic region.

We’re looking for a Mitsubishi Product Manager to play a key role in driving success across 35 of our branch locations. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our outside sales representatives and internal teams, providing the expertise and support they need to deliver results. If you enjoy building relationships, influencing growth, and being on the move, this opportunity is for you—expect to spend about 50% of your time on the road connecting with teams and customers.

The Mitsubishi Electric Specialist will lead and support business development programs, sales growth initiatives, inventory planning, product launches, and training efforts. This role is designed to increase Mitsubishi Electric sales and market share within the assigned territory through strong contractor, branch, and team development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Contractor Development

  • Deliver at least six contractor development classroom presentations annually.
  • Partner with sales teams to complete yearly planning and reviews with Elite, Preferred, and Ductless Pro contractors.
  • Educate contractors on co-op usage and support marketing consults to drive lead generation and brand promotion.
  • Coordinate and support local advertising campaigns and third-party training programs.
  • Assist in planning contractor meetings, branch open houses, and other customer-facing events.
  • Work with service teams to schedule appropriate M&P classes to support contractor growth.
  • Provide quarterly contractor performance and cost-of-goods reports.

Branch Development

  • Achieve yearly incremental branch growth goals for M&P products.
  • Deliver branch-level training and support, including distributor portal, product selection tools, and e-learning resources.
  • Promote merchandising programs, branch events, and incentive programs to drive sales growth.
  • Provide quarterly branch performance and cost-of-goods reports.

Team Development

  • Partner with sales teams to meet with existing DPs for continued development.
  • Assist in creating and following up on contractor performance action plans.
  • Support commercial and outside sales teams with Mitsubishi commercial opportunities.
  • Coordinate and deliver annual training sessions for sales teams on programs, tools, and product updates.

Inventory Planning

  • Collaborate with purchasing and product managers to forecast and refine inventory levels.
  • Provide leadership with monthly inventory status reports.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support with product selection software and contractor quoting, as needed.
  • Promote and support utility and manufacturer rebate programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of relevant HVAC or industry experience
  • Strong sales, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Team-oriented but capable of working independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Motivated for career growth and supporting HVAC market expansion
  • Willingness to travel 25–50% within territory and attend in-office meetings 2–4 times per month
