Job Description

As a Mission Integration Specialist / Joint Fires Targeting Specialist you will support a high-priority Special Operations mission within the continental United States. This position places you at the center of operational planning and targeting, integrating intelligence, joint fires, and operational effects to support decision-makers in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate and support the Joint Interagency Task Force targeting process to develop, synchronize, and execute targeting products.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and disseminate joint target lists while deconflicting operational activities across supported organizations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in joint targeting during strategic and operational planning efforts.
  • Support Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) by developing lethal and non-lethal targeting options.
  • Prepare and brief targeting products in support of the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP).
  • Develop and maintain targeting documentation, reports, briefing materials, decision papers, and operational correspondence.
  • Fuse intelligence from multiple classified sources to develop actionable target recommendations.
  • Utilize JWICS and other classified intelligence systems to conduct target development and target system analysis.
  • Support mission planning through all phases of the targeting cycle.
  • Perform additional mission-related duties as required in support of evolving operational requirements.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered where applicable.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting joint targeting or joint fires planning.

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrated experience managing the full targeting cycle to achieve both lethal and non-lethal operational effects.
  • Experience supporting strategic and operational planning efforts within Joint or Special Operations environments.
  • At least five (5) years of Special Operations targeting experience.
  • Extensive experience utilizing intelligence systems and databases on JWICS for target development and intelligence analysis.
  • Ability to work rotating schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in support of 24/7 operations.

Clearance:

  • Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Previous experience supporting USSOCOM, TSOCs, SMUs, or Joint Interagency Task Forces.
  • Graduate of Joint Targeting School, Advanced Target Development courses, or equivalent military targeting programs.
  • Experience integrating intelligence, operations, and fires to support time-sensitive targeting.
  • Strong written and verbal briefing skills with experience presenting to senior military and government leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-tempo operational environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10% travel for Temporary Duty Yonder (TDY) by motor vehicle and/or air travel may be required; some overnight stays possible.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer work.
  • Travel between work locations, including company offices, customer sites, and government installations.
  • Occasional extended work hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
  • Transport and use of work equipment, such as laptops and job-related tools, during site visits.
  • Work is performed in a secure facility where personal electronic devices (including Bluetooth- or Wi-Fi-enabled devices) may be restricted.
  • Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Interaction with others in dynamic environments, including situations requiring problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80500 to $149500 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
