Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Minute Taker, on a 3.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £13.90 - £17.99 per hour

The Minute Taker role involves producing accurate, non-verbatim minutes within strict timescales, maintaining accurate records, and supporting effective service delivery while handling sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend strategy meetings and other CYP statutory meetings to take accurate, non-verbatim minutes.
  • Summarise complex discussions into clear, concise, and high-quality records.
  • Accurately record meeting attendance and maintain up-to-date contact information.
  • Input minute-related information and records onto relevant IT systems.
  • Ensure all minutes and notes are completed and distributed within departmental timescales.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection and information governance requirements.

Qualification:

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent qualification/experience).

Essentials

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and web-based systems.
  • Previous administrative experience with a good understanding of office procedures.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous minute-taking and note-taking experience.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
