Ministry Outreach Manager

Location: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, San Jose & Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Los Altos

The Ministry Outreach Manager reports to the Director of Cemeteries and serves as the CFCS liaison and advocate for educating families on CFCS educational, mission, and grief ministry programs; products and services; and the benefits of Advanced Planning. You will use your marketing skills to represent the Catholic Church in networking and building community relationships. Our Ministry Outreach Managerwill identify, sponsor and run community events to network with communities and diocesan departments (priests, parish staff, parishioners).

• Work evenings and weekends as needed to support events
• Salary: $90K - $100K - DOE

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CFCS advocate and the benefits of pre-planning end of life arrangements
• Manage and bring the Parish Outreach program to parishioners
• Meet with priests and local leaders to identify grief programs
• Generate cemetery and funeral services interest in support of the Diocese
• Create and maintain a Directory of Grief Programs offered throughout the diocese
• Maintain Grief Ministry Calendar (both internal and external sources)
• Monitor and report on outreach/community events activities, results, and opportunities
• Monitor and maintain outreach and community event budgets and expense controls
• Maintain the Outreach Relationship Tracker and the Outreach Event Calendar
• Give presentations to parish staff on CFCS services and the benefits of Advanced Planning

Qualifications

• Bilingual a plus
• Tech Savvy
• Valid Driver’s License
• College degree preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in marketing, public speaking, and/or event planning
• Experience in marketing research and competitor analysis methods
• Proven record of building relationships and networking within the community
• Strong public-facing presentation and influencing skills
• Experience with special event planning
• Able and willing to help others and share expert knowledge
