Job Description

of Position:

The Maintenance Technician position is a fast-paced, very demanding role that requires very close attention to detail regarding safety and repair of multiple pieces of fixed equipment on the mine site. This position offers the flexibility of performing multiple maintenance activities throughout the site, including but not limited to, conveyance, dryer repair, pump repair, shaker screen repair, loadout repair, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a maintenance technician in heavy industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of conveyance, dryer, pump, shaker screen, loadout maintenance.
  • Comprehends documents such as safety rules, operating procedure and maintenance instructions, and equipment schematics.
  • Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • May be required to work overtime, based on business and facility needs.
  • Ability to understand technical instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots scenarios to determine the safest and most efficient way to repair a piece of equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains facility to uphold highest of standards for the operation.
  • Conveyance System Repairs.
  • Dryer repairs.
  • Pump repairs.
  • Shaker Screen repairs.
  • Loadout repairs.
  • Completes all pre-post job documentation required of a maintenance technician.
  • At times, repairs small pieces of mobile equipment for the operation.
  • Generates and processes plant work orders in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Regularly operates in a highly safety-conscious environment, outdoor and indoor.

  • Regularly be exposed to loud machinery.

Salary:

$32/Hr - $38/Hr

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
