Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of engineering principles with the ability to apply technical concepts to operational analysis, process improvement, and capital project support in an aggregate production environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (data analysis, pivot tables) and PowerPoint; working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar technical drafting or design software to support project documentation and analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly and professionally to both operational teams and senior leadership
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze operational data, identify root causes, and develop practical, data-driven recommendations
- Self-motivated and organized, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic, multi-site field environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and to adapt effectively in a hands-on industrial environment
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Work is performed across a combination of office and active aggregate plant environments, with regular exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and outdoor conditions during site visits
- This role requires travel to plant locations across Indiana as business needs dictate
- Work involves both desk-based analytical work and active site walkthroughs requiring sustained walking, standing, crouching, and kneeling
