WSP’s Mine Closure team is globally renowned for its expertise and bespoke solutions for our clients. We pride ourselves on innovation and collaboration. We are currently looking for a Mine Closure Planner to join our Perth based team to support us during a fantastic period of growth.

As a Mine Closure Planner you’ll:

• Support advisory projects including closure risk assessments, closure governance frameworks, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of closure documentation, including mine rehabilitation and closure plans, closure risk assessments, and cost estimates for a range of mining, oil and gas, and resource projects.
• Get involved in small, medium and large closure studies nationally and internationally.
• Prepare high quality reports, undertake data reviews and gap analyses
• Work with technical specialists across WSP’s environmental, water, geotechnical and planning teams to integrate closure requirements into broader mine planning.
• Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes affecting mine closure.
• Assist in stakeholder engagement processes related to closure and post-mining land use.

What you’ll bring:

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in mine planning, rehabilitation, closure, or environmental consulting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ownership of your work.
• Excellent time management skills.
• An understanding of life-of-mine planning and its intersection with environmental and community outcomes.
• Ability to work in a diverse and energetic team.
