Mindfulness Coordinator (Permanent, Part Time, 24 hours)
Location: Starcare Centre, East Tāmaki

The Wellness Support Team is part of Tāmaki Health, providing wellbeing support across mental, physical, and social wellbeing needs. The team works within general practices and communities to deliver accessible, culturally connected primary care.

About the role

This is a coordination role focused on the Aotearoa Mindfulness and Awareness programme. You will support the delivery of structured mindfulness courses, ensuring patients are guided from referral through to programme completion. The role centres on organisation, patient communication, and programme logistics. You will work closely with clinical and coordination teams to ensure programmes run consistently and to a high standard.

This position primarily focuses on mindfulness programme coordination, with exposure to broader service coordination as required.

What you will do

  • Coordinate referrals, triage, and patient communication.
  • Manage programme logistics including scheduling, venues, and materials.
  • Maintain accurate programme records and outcome data.
  • Support course delivery alongside facilitators and clinical leads.
  • Contribute to programme improvements and service development.

What you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • A strong interest in mindfulness practices.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to engage and communicate with diverse patients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks within structured processes.

Nice to have

  • Experience in health, wellbeing, or community settings.
  • Experience supporting group programmes or coordination roles.
  • Experience working with Māori, Pacific, or diverse communities.

About the team

You will be part of the Wellness Support Team, a large multi-disciplinary team providing a range of individual and group wellbeing services to patients and whānau enrolled with Tamaki Health practices in Auckland.
