We are seeking an experienced 2nd shift Millwright Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and facility systems. This role is essential in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position is located in our St Louis, MO Lubrication facility and is part of the UAW bargaining unit, and employment terms are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Move, install, dismantle, and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment
  • Perform maintenance on mechanical systems including conveyors, gear drives, and material handling equipment
  • Install and maintain piping systems including air, oil, steam, and coolant lines
  • Repair and maintain components such as belts, pulleys, air cylinders, solenoids, regulators, filters, and dryers
  • Troubleshoot and maintain all types of electrical equipment that may be in need of adjustment or repair.
  • Trouble shoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Service air compressors, gasoline-powered equipment, and power transmission systems
  • Install structural elements such as equipment foundations, pits, guards, benches, drywall, and ceiling tile
  • Reassemble and align machinery and component parts after repair or relocation
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
  • Fabricate and install guards, fixtures, and basic shop components
  • Perform minor welding as assigned
  • Complete safety and maintenance documentation, including OSHA-related reports
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

  • Proof of Journeyman Millwright status required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial maintenance
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Forklift operation experience preferred or ability to obtain certification
  • Basic welding skills preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues independently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching
  • Exposure to grease, noise, and industrial shop conditions
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
