We are currently seeking a full-time Millwright for our Grand Rapids, MI facility.

The Millwright is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installations throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports plant operations by maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of manufacturing systems.

This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial equipment and systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Equipment Repair

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and power transmission systems
  • Repair and replace bearings, gear reducers, valves, motors, conveyors, and related equipment
  • Perform precision drivetrain alignments and equipment adjustments
  • Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of equipment as needed

Fabrication & Welding

  • Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication work using established trade practices
  • Fabricate and modify equipment components to support production and maintenance needs
  • Maintain safe welding and hot work practices in accordance with company procedures

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all established safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or operational issues promptly
  • Support continuous improvement of safety and maintenance practices

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Assist with root cause analysis and reliability improvement efforts
  • Complete required maintenance documentation and downtime reporting accurately
  • Support operational improvements to enhance equipment performance and plant efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • Industrial maintenance or millwright experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Welding and fabrication experience required
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
  • Ability to read and complete maintenance documentation accurately
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shift
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formally trained Journeyman Millwright strongly preferred
  • Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Strong desire for continued learning and skill development
