About You and this Role
Dow is seeking a Millwright Maintenance Technician to join our team in St. Clair River, Ontario.
In this role, you will align to Dow's Maintenance organization and apply your specialized craft knowledge to execute planned tasks outlined in the maintenance schedule. Working in an industrial operating facility, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of pumps, compressors, extruders, blowers, and rotary feeders requiring strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety and reliability. Addition expectations of this role is to collaborate with various groups to develop plans, procedure and solutions.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and support safe, reliable operations.
Clearly communicates work execution status and challenges to workgroup and stakeholders.
Complete preventative and predictive maintenance tasks to sustain equipment health and reduce unplanned failures.
Specify, requisition, and install parts and equipment, ensuring accuracy in material and design specifications.
Collaborate with Planner/Work Area Coordinator (WAC), Operations and Engineering.
Support root cause investigations with failure documentation, capturing insights to drive long-term equipment reliability improvements.
Collect and analyze equipment performance and historical data to identify trends and improvement initiatives.
Follow established maintenance work processes and safety requirements to ensure quality and consistent work execution.
Use SAP to effectively document work history.
Commissioning and startup of various equipment.
Procedure writing and review.
Review drawings and schematics for problem solving and design decisions.
Qualifications
Must have obtained a high school diploma/equivalent PLUS a Millwright Journeyperson Certificate, Red Seal Designation OR two-year degree (or higher) in a mechanical discipline.
A minimum of 5 years relevant maintenance experience.
Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and comfortably use PPE and safety equipment (including harnesses with a total maximum weight capacity of 300lbs). Must be familiar with or open to training on proper equipment usage.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including any type of permanent residency support.

Troubleshooting – Able to effectively diagnose equipment failures and determine repair scope.
Equipment Maintenance – Complete repair and preventative maintenance task on a broad range of equipment.
Detail Oriented – Ensures that all aspects of the work process are complete from job initiation, execution, and close out.
Teamwork - collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal or to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way.
Proactive Problem Solving - preventing issues before they arise by targeting the root causes of potential problems and planning preventive measures well in advance.
Effective Communication – effectively communicate with different work groups and stakeholders.

For positions based in Ontario, Dow is required by law to include the pay scale that is reasonably expected to represent the pay range for the position. This pay range is specific to the territory of Ontario and accounts for both new and experienced employees with consideration to factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, and sustained job performance (or similar jobs). A reasonable pay range for this position is: $80,040 - $133,320.
