Position Overview
Title: Millwright II

Responsible for fabrication, design, construction, diagnosis and rebuilding of machinery and equipment for implementing and improving the manufacturing process and prevention and/or minimizing work downtime
Essential Duties
• Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work process
• Dismantle machines use hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
• Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and perform diagnosis and bring resolution to issues on production equipment
• Interact with engineering, operations support and product development to troubleshoot and ensure machinery and equipment are working properly
• Develop and document procedures on new jobs or rebuilds for filing in permanent record.
• Train other people in skills required
• Ability to meet physical demands and perform the essential job functions within the work environment identified in this job description

• Team Members will be asked to support training, development, and onboarding of new peers of both Millwright I and Millwright II level hires
• Team Members will support the development of new safety, culture, and best practice initiatives of both the company or the department
Leadership Responsibilities
• May be asked to act as stand in as a lead on specific jobs and projects
• Be able to diagnose corrective action and execute
• May be asked to point of contact for both maintenance and operational leadership for project recaps, continuation, or handoffs
• May be asked to support investigative efforts for safety, damage, or machinery downtime review towards corrective actions
• Will be asked to support PADNOS safety cadence as supporting team member or lead person on trainings, ISAs, or corrective actions
Education & Experience Requirements
• Highschool diploma or GED
• 3+ years’ experience in machine repair
·Qualifications
· Safety Expectations:
• Must be safety conscious.
• Internal candidates will be expected:
◦ enter Incident / Hazard into Velocity
◦ LOTO Certified
◦ Trained on use of enforcers and water trucks
◦ Trained / authorized PAI for Hot Work

• Have an existing chauffeur’s license
◦ Maintain DOT medical card
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
◦ Hands on or written test as required
• Interpret and direct work based on engineered drawings/blueprints
◦ Proven ability to field fit/ fabricate in the field
◦ Proven ability to use caliber and micrometers
◦ Proven ability to read hydraulic schematics
• Proven hands-on experience and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and all parts of machine repair.
◦ Scrap Recycling Industry knowledge preferred
◦ Working knowledge of conveyors
◦ Understanding of Controls
• Torches, mig / ARC and tig welding, air Arcing and fabrication applications experience
◦ (Must be able to pass hands on Welding/ Torch Test)
• Three years’ experience in machine repair and a proven record of accomplishment
• Ability to utilize Maintenance planning software’s
◦ Internal candidates must be able to:
• Enter WO in the systems
• Look-up and order spare parts
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Proven attention to accuracy and detail
• Must be willing to travel with occasional overnight stay
• Ability to climb and work at elevated heights
• Lift up to 75 lbs of steel
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations

Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and be able to move about in an outside and warehouse environment
• Operate computer, machinery, tools, vehicles and industrial equipment and must have the ability to use hands to move, set up, adjust, assemble, control, test, operate, or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
• Constantly communicate and exchange information with team members and must be able to effectively communicate correct information with vendors
• Read/comprehend, write, communicate orally, reasoning and analytical abilities, and mental flexibility
• Frequently move objects up to 75 unless a higher number is provided pounds
• The employee will constantly climb, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach above shoulder when working with equipment, material loading and unloading, and other related tasks
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to compare and distinguish material grades and administrative data
• Hearing ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a typical outdoor and warehouse work environment
• Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by weather
• Exposure to hazardous materials, extreme heat, and proximity to moving mechanical parts
• Requires wearing common protective and safety equipment
• Position may involve extended work hours
• Exposure to sound and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
Travel This position requires travel upwards of 30% of the time. Maintaining a valid Chauffeur’s License is required
