Job Description
Audubon is currently seeking a Millwright I to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Millwright I perform skilled maintenance, diagnoses, and repairs on industrial machinery and heavy equipment while being in construction sites or live facilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
- Will plan, inspect, verify and document scope of work.
- Operates engineer lathes, grinders and files.
- Works with industry-specific and high complex precision machines including but not limited to ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, compressors etc.
- Uses precision leveling and alignment tools in order to measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers, optical instruments and other tools.
- Will fit bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors and connect belts according to manufacturer’s blueprints and drawings.
- Fabricates and installs parts, equipment and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling and/or welding.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Related trade school education is preferred.
- Five years' experience in the construction industry.
- Must be able to pass client specific safety training.
- Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
- Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
- Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
- Understand load properties of cables, ropes, hoists and chains
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
- Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
