Millwright

What you’ll do:
  • Required to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance in plant or office facilities and/or on machines and equipment.

  • Performs work maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, basic electrical, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and/or general maintenance.

  • Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns.

  • Uses hand and power tools.

  • May be involved in testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing machines and equipment.

  • Uses prints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

  • May be involved with monitoring/assisting work performed by vendors.

What is required:

  • Grade 12 and College Diploma is required.

  • Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433A.

  • 2-5 years experience in an industrial setting.

  • Automotive experience an asset

  • Must be available to work a continental shift rotation of two weeks on day shifts followed by two weeks on night shifts. Shift hours are 6:30–6:30 for both rotations.

  • Double pay on Sundays: 8 of the 12 hours worked on Sundays are paid at double time

  • Extra pay for night shift: +$1.20 per hour
