Job Description

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.)

We are growing, and seeking a Production Associate in our millwork division. You will perform a variety of millwork duties, including operating a variety of machines and tools.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • You have manufacturing experience (machine operator, assembly, machinist, or similar.)
  • Ideally, you are experienced in operating a planer and/or rip saw to mill hardwood and softwood lumber.
  • You understand basic math, to include using fractions, to mill lumber to customer requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate machines and tools (planers, rip saws, and chop saws)
  • Inspect lumber prior to milling to verify order.
  • Use measuring instruments such as, but not limited to rules, gauges, or calipers.
  • Mill lumber accurately, according to each corresponding customer order.
  • Comply with OSHA safety regulations when operating and maintaining machines.
  • Lift and carry products weighing 75-100 lbs. with helper as required.
  • You will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location
  • You will be exposed to modest amounts of sawdust and noise.

This role is a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
