Operator is responsible for filling product containers and final inspection prior to shipping. This is a seven day a week, 24-hour function. Scheduled on 8-hour shifts, with occasional overtime work extended to
12-hour shifts. This position requires a high level of self-management, punctuality, good attendance, and the ability to adjust to a variety of assignments throughout the shift. The employee must be able to perform job duties with minimal direct supervision and is required to follow an established performance protocol in meeting customary work goals.
Must follow state, and federal guidelines concerning safety and environmental protection. Proper use of PPE conforming to Level C (general) & Level A (packaging room) standards is required. Mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) include a minimum of a hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection devices, steeled-toed footwear, gloves (hand protection), long pants and long-sleeve shirt. Additional PPE may include respirators, smocks, coveralls, hair/beard nets, and/or masks as required by the GMP Policy. The employee must be capable of operating forklifts, carts, and specific packaging machinery, grasping, pushing and pulling up to a maximum of 75 pounds and are able to lift 55 lbs. It is also necessary to tilt and roll 220-pound drums on and off pallets. Visual acuity requirements include normal depth perception and 20/30 vision with or without correction.
