We’re seeking a Milling Machinist with strong experience in precision metal machining, machine setup, and mill operation. This role is ideal for someone who can work hands-on with milling equipment, produce quality parts to specification, and support efficient production in a fast-paced machining environment. The right person will have solid experience with HAAS equipment, strong setup and operation skills, and a high attention to detail in precision metal work.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC and manual milling machines to produce precision metal components

Machine parts to blueprint specifications, required tolerances, and quality standards

Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and production adjustments as needed

Operate milling equipment efficiently while maintaining quality and throughput expectations

Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and machining documentation

Inspect finished and in-process parts using measuring instruments and inspection tools

Perform deburring and finishing work to ensure parts meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements

Monitor machine performance and identify issues related to tooling, setup, material, or part quality

Support production flow by maintaining organized work areas and keeping machines running effectively

Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve machining or quality concerns

Maintain safe work practices and follow all shop procedures for equipment use and part handling

Support continuous improvement efforts related to machining efficiency, scrap reduction, and quality output
Required Qualifications

Experience operating and setting up milling machines in a machining or manufacturing environment

Strong experience with HAAS equipment

Experience with machine setup and production operation

Strong background in precision metal machining

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining documentation

Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Experience with deburring and part finishing

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and maintain production standards in a shop environment
Preferred Qualifications

DMG Mori experience is a plus

Horizontal milling experience is a plus

Experience working with tight tolerances and precision-machined metal parts

Ability to make basic machine adjustments and support efficient setup changes

Experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment such as aerospace, medical, defense, or industrial machining
