General Description / ObjectiveThe Friona Mill Operator ensure the accurate mixing and delivery of feed and related products to help improve feeding efficiency for the proper care for cattle and the feedyard facilities. They are directly responsible for their individual safety by adhering to feedyard safety policies and procedures.
The Mill Operator adds value and quality services to the Mill Department by ensuring safe, and quality feed delivery processes in a timely manner. Successful candidates are highly participative, team orientated, and have high levels of communication.Roles and Tasks

Friona Industries, L. P. began as single small cattle feedyard in Amarillo, TX, in 1962 as the beef industry began to recognize the resources that existed in the Texas panhandle. Founding partners, like A.L. Black, were a group of cattle feeders who could see beyond the cattle to all the other businesses that cattle feeding supported: meat processing, feed manufacturing, and trucking, to name just a few.
