Job Description

The objective is to optimize safe behavior within our staff, meet production goals and minimize consumption through your supervising efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • First level of supervision for Mill Operations hourly employees.
  • Supervise milling process - crushing, grinding, flotation, filtering & tailings.
  • Communicate & coordinate closely with operators to achieve production goals.
  • Train, supervise, direct and support workforce in their activities to ensure production targets.
  • Communicate & coordinate closely with Mine Operations for steady production of mine ore deliveries to the crusher.
  • Inspect the equipment to determine status for repair or PM and initiate appropriate action.
  • Administer Mission Complex Safety Program and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Administer the labor contract and handle all employee issues, grievances, inquiries.
  • Provide timekeeping, scheduling, work-order maintenance, and purchasing/warehouse input on work needed.
  • Conduct safety meetings with employees on topics relative to the operations.
  • Conduct area safety inspections and correct any problems identified.
  • Prepare paperwork for use in production reporting.
  • Responsible for executing, supporting, and enforcing the Company’s Environmental, Health and Safety Program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • 1 year of knowledge and leadership within the milling process.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • 2 years of experience in the milling process (grinding, flotation, thickeners, etc.).
  • English language fluency.
    • At least CEFR B2 - Upper Intermediate: Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
