About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mill Operations Manager to oversee our feed mill operations. The Mill Operations Manager owns end‑to‑end operational performance for the mill ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production; robust scheduling and inventory control; maintenance & reliability partnership; continuous improvement; and disciplined delivery of projects and capex. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations and optimal production levels that meet the company's standards and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing operational leadership & daily management activity that ensures
  safe and compliant daily mill operations across intake, batching/pre‑mix, pelleting/finishing, packing/dispatch, and weighbridge.
• Manages Scheduling, Materials & Logistics
• Manages Mill maintenance & reliability activities (in partnership with Maintenance Lead)
• Maintains cost control, efficiency & financial discipline including Identification and delivery of cost‑saving initiatives
• Ensures the mill meets all requirements of FeedSafe & Feed Safety Compliance
• Responsible for project management & capex execution and improvement portfolio
• Provides people leadership including building capability, coaching of supervisors and
  operators, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous
  improvement.
• Provides stakeholder & change leadership aligning Sales/Planning/Maintenance/QA
• Ensures safety compliance with a zero‑harm mindset in all production, maintenance, and
  logistics activities.
• Ensures overall quality & regulatory compliance for the Mill

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Agricultural Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in mill operations management or a similar leadership role in the feed or grain industry.
• Proven track record of managing a team and operations effectively.
• Strong understanding of the operational mechanics of feed mills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Capable of making decisions under pressure and managing budgets.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards pertaining to feed production.
