To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.

Join Barclays as a Migration Services Postgres SME role, where you will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems that collect, store, process, and analyze data. Your work will ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure. You will collaborate with data scientists and other stakeholders to build and deploy machine learning models and support data-driven decision-making within the organization. To be successful in this role, you should have below skills:
Database Migration: Lead the migration of databases from various platforms to PostgreSQL, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and minimal downtime 1.
Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise in PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning 1.
Data Transformation and Schema Conversion: Generate scripts for data transformation, ensuring compatibility between source and target database schemas 1.
Automated Data Validation: Automate data cleansing and validation processes, detecting inconsistencies and errors in migrated data 1.
Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including Data Engineers, AI Developers, and Solution Architects, to ensure successful migration projects 1.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, procedures, and processes 1.
