Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to plan, coordinate, and oversee the migration of data from legacy financial, mortgage, and/or loan servicing systems into a new system environment.

This individual will be responsible for data migration planning, trial conversions, source reconciliation, data-quality remediation, testing support, and migration readiness for production go-live.

The role requires someone who understands both the technical and business implications of moving financial and loan servicing data and who can work effectively with Agency stakeholders, project leadership, vendors, and implementation teams.

The solicitation specifically requires experience migrating data from legacy financial, mortgage, or loan servicing systems and asks for details on record volumes, trial migrations, reconciliation-to-source, and data-quality remediation methods.

Objective

Deliver a controlled, accurate, auditable migration of legacy financial and/or mortgage servicing data into the target environment while maintaining data integrity, reconciliation to source, defect visibility, and readiness for production go-live.

Assess and Define the Migration Strategy

The Data Migration Lead will:

• Review legacy systems, source data, target requirements, and migration scope.
• Identify key data domains and dependencies.
• Establish data migration governance.
• Define source-to-target mapping requirements.
• Identify data-quality risks and remediation needs.
• Define trial migration strategy.
• Establish reconciliation methodology.
• Define migration testing and validation criteria.
• Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Align the data migration plan with the overall project schedule.

Execute Trial Migrations and Remediation

The Data Migration Lead will:

• Coordinate and oversee trial migrations.
• Validate source-to-target mapping.
• Reconcile migrated data back to legacy source systems.
• Identify data-quality issues.
• Coordinate data cleansing and remediation.
• Track migration defects and exceptions.
• Support testing and UAT teams with migrated data.
• Establish migration metrics and quality reporting.
• Escalate material data risks to the Lead Project Manager and Agency leadership.

Prepare for Production Migration

The Data Migration Lead will:

• Refine the production migration approach based on trial results.
• Drive unresolved data-quality issues to closure.
• Confirm reconciliation and validation criteria.
• Support UAT using representative migrated data.
• Establish cutover migration steps.
• Define production reconciliation procedures.
• Support go-live readiness recommendations.
• Coordinate post-migration validation and stabilization.
• Document migration outcomes, exceptions, and final reconciliation.
