MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Migration Lead to join our team. This role offers remote flexibility, with the potential for either a hybrid or fully remote arrangement depending on final operational needs, alongside periodic travel for key meetings and projects.

The Migration Lead in Healthcare IT will own historical image and report migration, data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, migration throughput, and migration-related metadata and informatics quality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead historical image and report migration, data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and overall migration throughput.
  • Oversee metadata normalization, patient/study/report reconciliation, and data quality across complex healthcare datasets.
  • Direct Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) and non-DICOM extraction strategies across multi-vendor legacy Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) environments.
  • Develop and execute Quality Assurance (QA) sampling and validation methodologies to guarantee high metadata and informatics quality.
  • Coordinate daily with transition and deployment leadership during site transitions to maintain throughput and manage exception queues.
  • Conduct clinical validation with radiology and cardiology stakeholders to ensure seamless data integrity and clinical accessibility post-migration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 10+ years of healthcare IT experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in PACS and VNA data migration within enterprise healthcare environments or regional health systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing large-scale enterprise imaging data migrations.
  • Technical expertise in DICOM/non-DICOM extraction, metadata normalization, and data reconciliation.
  • Experience establishing QA sampling, validation methodologies, and exception handling processes for multi-vendor legacy PACS environments.
  • Operational experience managing data retrieval strategies and achieving measurable high-volume migration throughput.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) certification or related credentials.
  • Experience managing clinical validation workflows directly with radiology and cardiology clinicians.
  • Knowledge of federal healthcare systems (e.g., Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency), enterprise Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) integration, or VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) environments.
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or Information Technology.

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Veterans Affairs Moderate Risk Background Investigation (BI) or Public Trust clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and engage with team members.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and government stakeholders, which may involve delivering technical briefings; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is -. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
