MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented HAZMAT Analyst to join our team in Oahu, HI
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintains and reviews compliance records to ensure hazardous material operations meet federal and international legal standards.
Draft contract clauses and technical specifications for the procurement of HAZMAT storage and transportation services.
Prepare routine reports for management regarding regulatory updates and potential compliance vulnerabilities.
Coordinates with theater logistics partners to ensure all HAZMAT shipments are documented in accordance with the status of forces agreements (SOFA) and local environmental laws.
Assist in the legal review of subcontracting agreements to ensure proper flow-down of safety and environmental requirements.
Monitor regional logistical data to identify trends and ensure persistent compliance during surges in cargo movement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Logistics, Business, or a related field;
3+ years of position-relevant experience; foundational certification in HAZMAT handling or environmental compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
7+years of position-relevant experience; familiarity with USINDOPACOM logistics hubs and dangerous goods manifests; experience supporting legal or contracts departments in a DoD environment.
Clearance Requirements:
Must hold an active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
